Hardwood Flooring that isn’t Hardwood Flooring

When customers choose vinyl that’s designed to look like hardwood, it’s often because they love the warmth and the feel that hardwood delivers. Ceramic offers something that hardwood can’t: Superman durability!

Because luxury floors are designed to stand up to scratches, stains, spills and everyday wear, they are perfect for rooms with lots of foot traffic and households with active families and pets.

So how do you know what to choose.

Natural wood floors vs. wood look tile flooring: which is best for your house?

As a general rule choose the real thing over the fake or imitation . It usually looks better, feels better and values better.

Take, for example, laminate flooring, although laminates have come a long way and it does have its place, it is usually a poor substitute for a good quality hardwood floor.

Many laminate wood look flooring products look great, but when you walk on it, there’s a difference you can actually feel. The same is true for ceramic but ceramic have an advantage of laminate: it is more durable, and has a higher quality feel.

I probably wouldn’t recommend that you make every room in your house ceramic with the look of hardwood but it does have a place in your home. Ideally entrance ways, kitchens and bathrooms are your ideal location for this product. If you live down south then I think you can make the case for ceramic through-out your entire home or condo, but living in Canada mixing the two floors can really work great.
